Short and plain: what happens to your data when you use this website and when you use Edict.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Who is responsible
Edict is a product of Altovar. For anything about your data, contact Altovar through the contact page.
This website
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not load third-party scripts or fonts.
Like any web server, ours records technical data about each request (IP address, time and requested page) to keep the service secure. It is kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
Your theme and your motion preferences are stored in your own browser so the site can remember them. They are not sent anywhere.
The Edict app
Edict saves your documents in your operating system data folder, inside your user profile.
Its local server answers only requests from your own machine, and it checks every file name it receives.
Edict does not load fonts or scripts from a CDN.
If you use Neska, the requests you write are processed to produce an answer. Altovar’s privacy policy describes how.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask Altovar for access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and you can object to processing. Use the contact page to do so.
You can also complain to your data protection authority.
This page describes how Edict and this website work today. It is not a substitute for Altovar’s company policies at altovar.net.
